DETROIT STING LACROSSE CLUB
ABOUT DETROIT STING LACROSSE CLUB
Detroit Sting Lacrosse Club is a Michigan-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the game of lacrosse to the student athletes of Michigan.
The Detroit Sting Lacrosse Club’s inaugural Spring 2008 season was the brainchild of co-founders Terry Barr and Rich Belanger. The Club initially ran 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade teams and was immediately competitive stealing some wins against other more established teams. In 2010 the Club expanded to include 7th/8th grade teams. Today, the Detroit Sting Lacrosse Club runs spring seasons, fall and winter youth and HS clinics, as well as summer programming. The Club practices and plays most home games at Detroit Country Day facilities with rostered players coming from DCDS and many Oakland County elementary and middle schools.
